Pre-Recorded for you to complete at your convenience
A Solution Focused therapist has a different mindset to a therapist trained in the medical model. We enter our therapeutic conversations with specific assumptions and pre-suppositions about our clients, ourselves and about therapy.
In this webinar I will be addressing our beliefs about our clients as capable and resourceful people. I will be looking at our assumption that all people have good reasons, and all people are survivors and experts of their lives. I will also be discussing our intentional mindset that focusses on what the client wants and who the client is. Our job is to build the essence of the client and help them to get the desired change they hope for. I will also be discussing our basic beliefs and assumptions about the therapist as a HopeCatcher, collaborator and attention shifter.
A Solution Focused mindset is good for the client and good for the therapist as it brings positive emotion into the room and leaves client and therapist inspired rather than drained and tired. In this webinar I will be sharing insights from renowned Solution Focused practitioners like Teri Pichot (USA) and Mark McKergow (UK).
