Grief is always a sign of love and therefore losing a loved one is never easy. Grief turns your whole life upside down and makes one feel out of control. Dealing with the aftermath of trauma and still trying to have hope for the future can be hard and debilitating, and extremely overwhelming. Unfortunately we cannot control what has happened but one can control HOW you handle what has happened.

Solution Focused grief counselling focuses on HOW helping the client take control of HOW they grieve and what their grieving process looks like. This is a radical shift from dealing with the emotions to dealing with the process of grief. This webinar is aimed at looking at working with clients that are managing grief, at eliciting hope and helping clients find small yet visible and tangible elements of what they would like their grieving process to look like.

Solution Focused Therapy is hope catching and the philosophy, language and questions utilised all encourage hope to enter the room. A range of specialised Solution Focused questions will be practised in this course to equip the practitioner with the skill to handle these difficult conversations. My best hope for this short course is that the practitioner finds hope again and is empowered to handle any difficult scenario with confidence and skill.
