Solution Focused Brief Therapy is often seen as a simple approach to helping clients set and achieve goals. However, there is so much more to this beautiful therapeutic approach. In this webinar I will take a close look at what it means to be Solution Focused. I will be looking at how this approach is NOT about finding answers but rather about building on what works, finding strengths and empowering the client. I will also be discussing what being Focused looks like and how with mindful intention we shift the client’s problem narrative into a more hopeful narrative.
By listening and reflecting selectively we highlight different aspects of the client’s life and bring about hope. Being brief therapists, we treat every session as if it is the last session and we focus on what the client wants from the session, always staying strategically aligned to the clients best hopes and desired outcomes.
This focused, hopeful and intentional mindset allows therapy to become collaborative between the client and the therapist as co-experts to building and constructing hopeful and effective therapeutic outcomes. In this webinar I will be sharing insights from renowned Solution Focused practitioners like Elliott Connie, Arnoud Huibers, Ben Furman and Mark McKergow.
