Almost immediately he began to use Solution Focused ideas exclusively in his work. In 2009 he published his first book. In 2012 Elliott published his ground breaking book on using this approach with couples. Today he travels the world teaching professionals to use this approach in their work as well as running a training organization dedicated to this approach.

Therapy is provided free of charge for anyone in serious difficulties and short of money and so far no-one has been turned away, whatever their problem. Elliott’s training organization and BRIEF teamed up to form BRIEF International. This workshop is the fruit and South Africa is just the right place for it to be picked.
